Kolejna solidna porcja amerykańskiej muzyki z bagien Luizjany. Jak dobrze, że oprócz gitarowych „bonamasso-podobnych” produktów nagrywają jeszcze ludzie płyty gitarowe, bez lejącego się z głośników wiadrem przesteru. Jak ktoś lubi klasyczne brzmienia to się nie zawiedzie. Jest transparentnie, nie zbyt gęsto, z dużą ilością przestrzeni i ładnym naturalnym pogłosem. Kolejna bardzo dobra płyta spod ręki Tab Benoit’a (producent i realizator). Mam nadzieje, że niedługo i on przypomni o sobie jakimś wydawnictwem. Na płycie Damon’a udziela się na gitarze akustycznej, pedal steel, chórkach, ale również jako kompozytor.
Jest sporo różnorakiego grania slide’m, ale i klasycznego „wiosłowania” nie brakuje. Muzycznie, jak to na obszarze stanu Luizjana, czyli spory tygiel. Nie ma sensu wymieniać klimatów, które można na tej płycie odnaleźć, parafrazując tytuł płyty to najlepsze „sounds of America”. Utworów faworytów też nie wskażę, bo musiałbym przepisać prawie całą setlistę.
