Założyłem kilka tygodni temu w tym dziale temat dotyczący tej płyty. Niestety po wysłuchaniu niedawno zawartości na Spotify, zrobiło to na mnie tak słabe wrażenie, że postanowiłem usnąć cały wpis.
Gość potrafi grać świetnie i jest kilka płyt oraz gościnnych udziałów Duke’a na innych płytach, które bardzo lubię. Jednak graniem około-bluesowym podanym w tak pedagogiczno-akademicki sposób nie jestem w stanie się zachwycać. Robi się z niego jak dla mnie taki Stefan Grossman tyle, że gitary elektrycznej. Szkoda, bo poprzednia z Monster Mike Welch’em była niezła. Może właśnie zabrakło takiej młodej krwi, która dodałaby więcej wigoru w tej muzyczce.
Z tegorocznych wydawnictw mam zdecydowanie innych faworytów spośród białych artystów podpadających pod „contemporary blues”.
